International soccer returns to Houston

Many an international soccer game has graced the pitches of Houston over the years.  Recent memory reminds u that just a couple short years ago there were international friendlies leading to the FIFA World Cup.  There are memories of Italian teams, English teams, and who can forget the crowds that the Mexican national team El Tri bring to the Bayou City.  Just last month, Messi and Argentina brought futbol to Houston once more and now the announcement of another match Haiti versus El Salvador on October 9th, one day before the Dynamo Charities Cup that had Manchester City on it schedule before the rains washed it out features the Dynamo against Santos Laguna of the Liga MX.

Fans, most recently, saw El Salvador play at BBVA Compass Stadium the site of the is match in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.  The Latin American squad placed fourth in the 2014 Copa CentroAmerica tournament.

For Haiti, it will be their second trip to BBVA.  The tiny Caribbean nation located just across the waters from Cuba visited the home of the Dynamo in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.  The 2007 team won the Caribbean Nations Cup and reached the quarterfinals of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Tickets for the match are available in a Dynamo ticket bundle for $33 and can be obtained by calling 713-276-GOAL.  Individual match tickets are not yet currently available for sale.  The match is scheduled for an 8:00p.m. kick-off.
