The Houston Dynamo open the Ben Olsen coaching era Sunday, January 8, 2023. In just over 72 hours, the Dynamo will take the pitch at 10 AM for an all access media training.

The session will also allow media access to Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad, coach Ben Olsen and select players. As the reader might suspect, there will be no secrets given away in that first seassion but it will be good to see a glimpse of who might be the impactful players of the Dynamo in 2023.

On January 30th, the team will hold a series of closed door scrimmages against Mexican teams in Mexico City. They will play Deportivo Toluca FC, the runner up in the 2022 Liga MX Apertura campaign, on Wednesday, Feb. 1. That match will be followed by one with Tlaxcala FC from the Liga de Expansion MX, the Mexican second division, on Feb. 4 in Toluca. The three game series ends with a preseason game against Club Universidad Nacional (UNAM Pumas), on Feb. 7.

After the match with the seven time LIGA MX champion, the Dynamo return to the United States to prepare for a couple of MLS Florida friendlies in Fort Lauderdale.

Houston fans will get their only opportunity to see their home team in action on February 18th against in-state rival FC Dallas. The match takes place a week before the MLS road opener against FC Cincinnati. After a two game road swing, the DYnamo will return for their home opener on March 18th against Austin FC.
