Houston Dynamo Icon DaMarcus Beasley elected into National Soccer 2023 Hall of Fame class

Houston Dynamo FC defender DaMarcus Beasley has been elected into the National Soccer Hall of Fame class of 2023.

Earlier this week, the National Soccer Hall of Fame released their next class of inductees. One of these members is United States legend and Houston Dynamo icon DaMarcus Beasley.

Starting his career at LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire, Beasley played across Europe before settling at Houston Dynamo. While at Houston, he played 124 games across six years between 2014-2019. It was here he became an icon of Major League Soccer.

Joining as a designated player, Beasley led the team to their first-ever Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Championship. Despite continually being on the receiving end of injuries, he was a mainstay in the Dynamo set-up on the left-hand side of the field.

Before moving to Houston Dynamo, Beasley played in various European leagues including the Premier League and Bundesliga. During his footballing tenure, he represented PSV, Manchester City, Rangers, Hannover 96 and Puebla.

His career accomplishments include representing the national team, becoming a four-time MLS All-Star, and playing in the UEFA Champions League. Beasley will join Landon Donovan, Cheney Holiday and Jill Ellis in the Class of 2023.

The 2023 Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 6 next year.
