Houston Dynamo Memo Rodriguez named to Chipotle MLS Homegrown Team

The Houston Dynamo’s sixth homegrown player Memo Rodriguez was named the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Team which will participate at the 2015 All-Star game later this month.  The team will face the Club America U-20’s on July 28th in a showcase of young talent before the All-Star game on July 29, 2015.  Rodriguez signed in 2015 by the Dynamo currently plays with the USL Charleston Battery.  In 12 appearances, the El Campo native has a goal and an assist. 

A three year member of the Dynamo Academy, Rodriguez never missed a training session or a game despite having to travel more than an hour one way.  In 2012 and 2013, the 19 year old forward was named Dynamo Academy Player of the Year.  In 2013 and 2014,Rodriguez spent time training with the Dynamo first team and appeared in five MLS Reserve games in 2013.  He was also a member of the initial Dynamo Academy U-23 team.

The team coached by USA soccer legend Landon Donovan will take the pitch at 8p.m. CDT on Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on July 28th.
