MLS Next Pro Texas bragging rights belong to the Dynamo Dos. The Houston based club survived another barn burner against North Texas SC winning the western style shoot out on PK's. The two teams combined for six goals in regulation.

Dynamo Dos fans are quickly becoming spoiled by the performances of midfielder Isaiah LeFlore. Last week as a second half sub, he scored his first goal in his first game with the Houston Dynamo 2. This week in a full match, he tallied a brace. Leflore found the back of the net in the fifth minute of play off a nicely timed thru ball from teammate Jathan Juarez to put the visiting side up one nil.

Following Marcelo Palomino's penalty conversion 19minutes later, Houston enjoyed a healthy 2-0 lead. North Texas is not one of the best scoring home teams in the league for no reason. NTSC cut the deficit in half in the 36th minute going into halftime trailing 2-1.

LeFlore's second goal in the 47th minute off a centering ball from Kyle Edwards regained the Dynamo Dos' two goal cushion.

With 17 home goals coming in, North Texas SC was not done. They cut the deficit to one in 66th minute scoring for the second time off a corner kick. Jose Mulato found the equalizer six minutes before the end of regulation forcing the dramatic penalty kick shoot out.

The shootout went to six before Houston Dynamo 2 keeper Xavier Valdez stopped NTSC setting the stage for Talen Maples. The Dynamo Dos captain calmly stepped to the spot and netted the winner.

The win moved Houston in to second place as they leapfrogged NTSC. The victorious Dynamo Dos look to extend their unbeaten streak to five as they return home for a Sunday July 24th encounter with MUNFC 2. Kick-off is slated for 7:00pm.
