All three Houston professional soccer teams will be in action this weekend. All three will be on the road. Which team has the best chance of winning? Houston Dash, Houston Dynamo or Dynamo Dos? Although, it is possible all three will post a victory some have a more difficult road than others. Here are our thoughts.

Dynamo 2 v Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 - The Houston Dynamo 2 travel north of the border for an intercontinental meeting with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. One of the best teams in MLS Next Pro, the Houston Dynamo 2 team has its eyes set on securing a playoff berth. Their road record of 3-3-3- is a bit deceiving. Of its three losses, two came during a stumble back in early June. Since then they have drawn with both the Earthquakes 2 and North Texas SC. In both scenarios, they won the shootout to secure an extra point. The Whitecaps FC 2 squad is just two points below the playoff line in the MLS Next Pro Western Conference. The home team has lost just once on their home pitch and that came on their last meeting on June 24,2022 to the Earthquakes 2. With a plus 10 goal differential at Swangard Stadium, Vancouver presents a tough foe for Houston who has a minus one road goal differential. Overall Houston is unbeaten in five straight while road weary Vancouver is 1-1-1 after a three game road swing. Prediction: Houston by a goal on Friday night.

Houston Dash v Gotham FC - The Houston Dash travel to New Jersey for their first road match under new interim head coach Juan Carlos Amoros. The team celebrated his arrival with a rousing 4-1 home win over the Chicago Red Stars before the international break on July 8th. Under former interim head coach and first assistant Sarah Lowdon, the Dash were a dynamic road team. NJ/NY Gotham FC is playing just their fourth home game of the season. They are 1-2 at Red Bull Arena with a goal differential of minus three. Houston, meanwhile, has lost just once on the road this year. They have a plus four goal differential and should have all their internationals back with the exception of Rachel Daly. Amoros should have a fun time picking his front line and Gotham should be in for a long night because of it. Prediction: Houston wins by two on Sunday night.

Houston Dynamo v Philadelphia Union - The Dynamo seem to play better on the road and this week, they will need to as they travel to the City of Brotherly Love to face Eastern Conference leader Philadelphia. Houston has won more games on the road in 2022 then they have at any time since 2014. They do have a goal differential away from PNC Stadium of minus five but they are coming off a stunning 2-1 win in their last road match. They have played some of their best soccer at away stadiums.

Philadelphia at home is no slouch. In fact no one has found a way to beat them. Not much brotherly love in Philadelphia from the Union towards their opponents however there is a sliver of hope. Given the betting line that gives the Dynamo a 19% chance of pulling the upset and 24% chance to leave with a point, the oddsmakers are showing a little respect of the boys in orange. Prediction: Houston gets the 1-1 draw on Saturday.
