The Houston Dynamo and the Minnesota United FC square in a Saturday afternoon matinee followed by the MLS Next Pro Dynamo Dos and MUNFC 2 at Allianz field. Playoff implications are on the line in both games.

It would take a miraculous finish and a whole lot of help from a whole lot of clubs to help the parent club Houston Dynamo get into the playoffs. I know stranger things have happened but I don't think this will be added to the list. The Houston Dynamo looking to finish strong have an opportunity to knock MUNFC down a notch or two in the Western Conference standings. Although currently sitting in fourth, they are just five points from being on the outside looking in. Minnesota has been hot losing just once in their last nine outings. Houston is looking to build momentum off their literally last second draw with Colorado.

The Dynamo Dos are seven points clear of MUNFC 2 who sits fifth in the MLS Next Pro Western Conference table. Houston has the second stingiest defense in the entire league and the sixth best offensive side. Minnesota 2 is pretty stout at home losing just twice in nine outings. This will be the third meeting between these two clubs. Houston won at their place while the Loons 2 won the extra point following a draw in regulation at home on penalty kicks. This can have huge implications on the playoff dreams of both teams.

Kick-off for the MLS Next Pro game is set for 6:00pm CT with parent clubs Houston Dynamo and MUNFC squaring off at 2:30pm CT in a mid-afternoon Saturday matinee.
