For the ninth time this season, a Houston Dynamo player has been named to MLS Soccer Team of the Week. Fafa Picault and Corey Baird are the latest honorees.
Picault, who seems to have found the fountain of youth since Nagamura's departure scored his second brace of the season against the New England revolution on Tuesday night. The forward's performance earned him his second Team of the Week honor. The previous came when he notched a braced against Inter Miami CF on April 2.
Baird has started 16 of 24 appearances this season has just two goals. It been expected that he would be an integral part of the offense. Now under Kenny Bundy, the forward may be beginning to fit into the scheme. On Tuesday, he had two assists leading to his place on the MLS Team of the Week. The two assists were his first since March 12, a span of 22 games.
Houston returns to action on Saturday night on the road against LAFC. Kick-off is set for 9:30pm CT.
