The Houston Dynamo found themselves on the short end of a 3-0 score the last time they met the L.A. Galaxy. On Sunday night, just eight days after a convincing 2-0 win playing a man down for the better part of an hour against Nashville SC, they returned the favor downing the Galaxy at home 3-0.

Sebastian Ferreira, the highly hyped and richest signing in franchise history got Houston on the board in the 11th minute of play. The 24 year old Paraguayan international also had a hand in the Dynamo's other two goals as well. Ferreria now has five goals and three assists in the Houston's first 12 matches.

Houston played the match without the services of midfielder Coco Carrasquilla (yellow card accumulation) and Adam Lundkvist (suspended) left little wonder as to who the better team was in the 35th all-time meeting between these two clubs. Houston has now won 13 of the matches with 10 draws.

The Dynamo found two second half goals including one after the hour mark something they had not done all season. A curling shot from distance by second half sub Tyler Pasher doubled the Houston out put in the 58th minute of play.

Four minutes later Thor Ulfarrson scored his first MLS goal assisted by Ferreira.

The 3-0 win was a bit of repayment for the Galaxy's 3-0 win late in the 2021 season. Houston has been playing with confidence and determination. The Dynamo (5-5-3) win moves Houston one more notch up the table into seventh in the Western Conference.

Houston now preps for a mid-week U.S. Open Cup match in the Round of 16 in Kansas City. Coincidentally or not, it was Houston's U.S. Open Cup win against San Antonio FC 11 days ago that started this string of success. Over that span, the Dynamo have won three of four with a goal differential of plus five.
