With seven games in the 15 days plus a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open game, this stretch will tell us where this team is headed. The Dynamo look to break a three game MLS losing streak as they host Nashville SC on Saturday. The Western Conference foes are 8th and 6th respectively in the league standings.

The Dynamo close out a stretch to begin 2022 of hosting 10 of their first 17 matches with a midweek match on Wednesday May 18th against the Seattle Sounders. The team will then be on the road until June 25th so these two games beginning with Nashville SC are crucial to the end result of their season.

The Dynamo are 4-1-3 (WLD) at home this year host Nashville SC who is playing their ninth road game of the season. It is the third meeting all-time between the two clubs.

Houston with a minus one goal differential has one of the hottest scorers in the league at the moment in Sebas Ferriera but nothing else. The most historic signing in team history has found the back of the net three times in the team's last four matches. He has also logged 700 minutes of a possible 900 on the pitch this season. This week he is up against one of the stingiest defenses in the league. Nashville SC has surrendered just four goals in its last six MLS matches.

On the other side 33 year old CJ Sapong is playing more like 23 has three goals and an assist in 2022. He has scored in each of his last two outings. Against the Dynamo he has netted four goals in 14 career matches and has never lost against Houston when he scores. Overall when he has faced El Naranja, his teams have a record of 7W-4D-3L. Houston might want to keep an eye on him.

Fortunately for Houston, Nashville SC will be without Teal Bunbury, Josh Baure and Irakoze Donasiyano. Houston is healthy and should be at full strength.

Kick-off is set for 7:30pm CDT at PNC Stadium.
