Houston Dynamo 2 await Decision Day 2022

The Houston Dynamo 2 are looking forward to Decision Day 2022. It's name given to this coming Sunday when all the playoff bound teams in MLS Next Pro learn their seedings, who will be at home and who will be on the road.

At the moment, the Dynamo 2 along with the Tacoma Defiance, St. Louis City FC and North Texas SC have all earned their playoff berth in the Western Conference. All that is left to be decided on Decision Day for these four teams is who they will play and where they will play. The Eastern Conference is much more up in the air as the Columbus Crew 2 are the only team to clinch on that side of the table thus far.

Sunday will feature 10 intraconference games. The five Eastern Conference games will kick off at 2:00pm CT with the Western Conference match-ups to follow at 4:00pm CT.

Once everything is decided on Decision Day, the Dynamo 2 will learn whether or not they will host a first round semi-final match or be on the road. Houston will face off at home against North Texas SC for the third time this season. They won the first, drew the second, gained the extra point on penalty kicks and now await the outcome of the next one.

Once Decision Day has come to a close the MLS Next Pro playoff scenario will set up like this: Conference Semifinals (four matches): September 23-25 (No. 1 vs. No. 4 and No. 2 vs. No. 3)
Conference Finals (two matches): September 30-October 2
MLS NEXT Pro Cup (one match): October 8
