Firing on all cylinders, the Houston Dash blasted by the Orlando Pride in the 17th all-time Space derby between these two sides. The 5-0 home win was highlighted by the franchise's first hat trick recorded off the foot of Canadian international Nichelle Prince. Although Orlando out possessed Houston and strung more passes together, it was the Dash who had more shots and capitalized on their opportunities. Orlando entered the match looking to push their road winning streak to three games. Instead the five goal differential matched Orlando's worst performance in team history losing twice previously to the North Carolina Courage by five goal deficits. Bth those games were on the road.

Prince led a Dash frontline that accounted for all of Houston's goals. The first tally of the night sprung Prince free on a perfect run on ball from Daly. Five minutes later it was Daly's turn as she netted her 42nd goal across all competitions and her fourth of the season. Seven minutes later the rout was on as Prince completed a first half brace and a 3-0 lead. The Dash forward finished the hat trick four minutes into the second half before Michelle Alozie closed out the scoring with her first professional marker in the 87th minute.
