USWNT Players Lloyd and Brian to participate in She Believes Cup

The inaugural She Believes Cup will have a familiar Houston Dash theme to it when the USWNT takes the pitch on March 3rd against England.

The 7:30p.m. match at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Fla. will feature Houston Dash midfieders Carli Lloyd and Morgan Brian.

The USWNT will be led by the FIFA Women’s Player of the Year in 2015 (Carli Lloyd) and the Golden Ball winner as the best player at the recently completed CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying in Morgan Brian.

Touted as the premier women’s soccer event leading into the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, the SheBelieves Cup is designed to emphasize US Soccer’s commitment to growing the sport.  The games will be played at three sites across the southern U.S.  Tampa will host the opener with Germany matching up with France prior to the USA game on March 3rd.  Three days later all four teams will meet in Nashville, Tennessee for a second round of games.  On March 9th all four teams will return to Florida for a games in Boca Raton.

In addition, sandwiched around the games in Nashville will be a Girl’s Fantasy Soccer Camp.  The camp is open to all skill levels for girls born in 2001, 2002 or 2003.  The $3,995 donation to attend the camp will also include the following behind the scenes experiences

  • Premium ticket to the USWNT match against France and Germany vs. England matches on March 6
  • Pregame behind-the-scenes tour and field-level access to watch match warm-ups
  • Hotel accommodations and all meals
  • Daily training sessions with former USWNT stars
  • VIP access to a USWNT training session
  • Ground transportation, including airport transfers if needed
